Campaign Theme: On the Cusp of Change
Meaford is at a turning point. Our demographics are shifting as new residents and young families arrive alongside a growing retiree population. Our local economy is evolving beyond its traditional base. Our climate is bringing less predictable weather that affects everything from our farms to our infrastructure. This is not a moment to drift. It is a moment of real opportunity, a chance to shape a municipality that is better for those of us here now and for the generations who will call Meaford home after us.
My four-pillar platform is how we get there.
1- Prosperity means smart, sustainable growth in housing, industry and commerce, backed by steady investment in the roads, bridges, drainage and facilities that make growth possible.
2- Well-being means supporting our agricultural community and the broader quality of life that keeps people here.
3- Responsiveness means a council and staff that genuinely listen and adapt to residents' real needs.
4- And Accountability means transparent, disciplined decision-making and financial management that residents can trust.
These are not four separate promises, they
are one coherent approach to navigating change deliberately rather than being swept along by it.
I imagine a Meaford that grows harmoniously, welcoming change without losing the identity, heritage and small town character that make this place so special. I will be right here with you through every phase of that change.
